“K” LINE and Yinson Production partner to develop offshore CO₂ transport and injection solutions

“K” LINE ENERGY SHIPPING and Yinson Production have agreed to jointly develop and market offshore solutions for the transportation and injection of liquefied CO₂, targeting carbon capture and storage projects, particularly across Europe.

The partnership will focus on the development of two critical technologies, floating ztorage and injection unit and liquefied CO₂ carrier.



One of the target projects includes the Havstjerne carbon storage project in Norway, 40% owned by Stella Maris CCS, a Yinson Production unit.

Lars Gunnar Vogt, CTO, Yinson Production commented that by integrating FPSO expertise with CO₂ shipping capabilities, they becomes possible scalable, one-stop solutions to support industrial decarbonisation.

Kei Onishi, Corporate Officer, “K” LINE added that this enhances the CCS value chain and supports the decarbonisation ambitions of emitters across multiple geographies.
