
Jeroen Eijsink became Chief Executive Officer of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) on 1 October 2025. On taking office, Eijsink said, “I look forward to getting to know HHLA and its staff across Europe. Together, we will focus on developing HHLA sustainably, enhancing competitiveness, and strengthening our position as a trusted partner in European logistics.”
Eijsink, 52, brings over 25 years of international logistics and transport experience. He began his career at Siemens in the digitalisation division and held various management roles at Deutsche Post DHL, including CEO of DHL Freight Germany and CEO of DHL Freight Benelux & UK. From 2015, he served on the Executive Board of C.H. Robinson, driving European expansion, and in August 2023, he became CEO of Girteka Group, leading its strategic realignment. He studied Business Administration at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
In addition, Marcus Vitt has been appointed Chairman of HHLA’s Supervisory Board, succeeding Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Grube. Vitt is Managing Partner of Vitt4FUTURE GmbH and has extensive experience in banking and stock exchange governance in Hamburg.
