The Italian ports on “The Millionaires”

Dynamar recently published its annual flagship data report “The Millionaires” which focuses on ports worldwide handling over 1 million TEUs per annum.
 Italy features three container ports:
  • Genoa, in 69th position with 2,622,200 TEUs handled in 2017, a 14% increase on 2016. Now, port of Genoa is the premier container port.
  • Gioia Tauro slipped down to 74th place from the 56th position gained in 2016, with 2,448,600 TEUs , a 12% drop on the previous year.
  • La Spezia rose to 103rd position worldwide (up 6 places from 2016), having registered 1,473,600 TEUs, a 16% advance on 2016.
