Inchcape Shipping Services expands in Trinidad and Tobago

Inchcape Shipping Services, a provider of comprehensive port agency and maritime solutions, announced the opening of a new office in Chaguaramas and a bonded warehouse in Point Lisas.

“With a clear vision for the future, our new facilities in Chaguaramas and Point Lisas are strategically positioned to serve the demand in the bustling hub. The Chaguaramas Bay area, known for its comprehensive repair yard and drydock facilities, plays a crucial role in the commercial maritime industry, particularly in the offshore oil and gas sector. Our presence here is a testament to Inchcape’s dedication to supporting these critical operations with unparalleled expertise and efficiency,” stated Kishan Ramoutar, Trinidad and Guyana’s marine services manager.

The newly established 314-meter bonded warehouse and yard in Point Lisas significantly enhances the firm’s capabilities in logistics and supply chain solutions. This facility addresses critical needs in the maritime sector by optimizing the storage and handling of spares, provisions, and equipment, according to the company.

Inchcape’s services include customs brokerage, unstuffing, racking, and stacking, allowing customers to prepare shipments ahead of port calls and projects.

“We coordinate delivery with a dedicated customs officer assigned to the warehouse, minimizing costs associated with airline storage,” stated an Inchcape Shipping Services official.
