Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) has opened two new offices in Indonesia, in Merak and Dumai. The expansion strengthens its presence in key port locations and brings services closer to customers.

The offices are located in high-activity industrial clusters. Each cluster handles around 150 port calls per year. These areas support bulk and tanker operations for energy, industrial, and plantation sectors.

The Merak cluster, led by Haroen Al Rasyid, covers Cigading, Ciwandan, and Anyer ports. It handles chemicals, iron ore, limestone, steelmaking materials, petroleum products, ethylene, and bulk wheat. Dedicated jetties and terminals ensure smooth cargo operations and quick vessel turnaround.

The Dumai cluster, managed by Ahmad Firdaus, includes Lubuk Gaung and Pelintung ports along the Malacca Strait. It focuses on crude palm oil, palm oil products, fuel oil, petroleum products, and chemicals. The ports support domestic and export cargo movements.

Both offices provide port agency, customs clearance, P&I services, crew logistics, husbandry, bunkering, fuel operations, and protective agency. Local branches improve operational control, speed, and compliance.

Galih Wicaksono, ISS General Manager – Indonesia, said: “Being close to our customers allows us to deliver faster, reliable service. Merak and Dumai are key ports, and we now have stronger local support there.”

Along with the Jakarta office, ISS is now better equipped to serve customers across Indonesia efficiently.
