Imabari Shipbuilding delivers “ONE SINGAPORE”

Imabari Shipbuilding has announced the delivery of the ONE SINGAPORE, a 13,900 TEU-class containership, from its Hiroshima Shipyard on June 30. The vessel was constructed for Ocean Network Express (ONE) and marks another addition to the company’s growing fleet of high-efficiency container carriers.

The ONE SINGAPORE boasts a container loading capacity of approximately 13,932 TEU, including accommodations for a significant number of refrigerated containers both on deck and in the hold. The vessel is also fully compliant with the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code, allowing it to safely carry hazardous cargo.

Designed using advanced hydrodynamic analysis, the vessel features a highly optimized hull form suited to frequent changes in speed and draft. A range of energy-saving features have been incorporated, including twist-flow rudders and specialized low-friction hull coatings, which contribute to a 60% reduction in the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) compared to current regulatory baselines.

The ONE SINGAPORE measures 335.94 meters in overall length, with a beam of 51 meters and a depth of 30.10 meters. It has a gross tonnage of 140,233 and is powered by a 7G95ME-C10.6 main engine, delivering a service speed of approximately 22 knots. The vessel is classed by Lloyd’s Register (LR) and sails under the flag of Singapore.
