Imabari Shipbuilding delivers 40,000 DWT bulk carrier SANNOMINE

Imabari Shipbuilding has delivered the 40,000-deadweight-ton bulk carrier SANNOMINE, completed at I-S Shipyard Co., Ltd.

The vessel features a double-hull, box-shaped cargo hold with topside tanks. The design allows the carriage of a wide range of cargoes, including grain, coal, ore, cement, steel coils, and long steel products.

The ship is equipped with four deck cranes. Each cargo hold has a wide hatch opening with folding-type hatch covers to improve cargo handling efficiency.

SANNOMINE complies with key environmental regulations, including MARPOL and the Ballast Water Management Convention. The vessel meets IMO Phase 3 carbon intensity requirements ahead of schedule. It also features a ballast water treatment system and an Inventory of Hazardous Materials in line with the Ship Recycling Convention.

Energy-saving devices enhance propulsion efficiency. The vessel uses a high-efficiency propeller and low-friction hull coating to reduce fuel consumption.
