Imabari Shipbuilding delivered the 13,900-TEU containership ONE SINCERITY from its Hiroshima Shipyard. The vessel is designed exclusively for container transport, with a capacity of 13,932 TEU. Its deck features up to four rushing bridges and ample space for frozen containers. The ship can also carry hazardous cargo in line with the IMDG Code.
The vessel incorporates advanced environmental features. Imabari used the latest analysis technology to optimize hull design for fuel efficiency and performance at various speeds and drafts. Energy-saving devices, twist steering, and low-friction hull coatings help cut fuel consumption. These measures reduce the ship’s EEDI (carbon emissions per ton-mile) by roughly 60%, far exceeding current requirements.
ONE SINCERITY also includes Bow Wind Cover to improve real-world performance. It meets SOx and NOx regulations with a hybrid exhaust gas cleaning system (EGCS) and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR). Ballast water treatment and compliance with the Ship Recycling Convention further highlight its environmental focus. The vessel is future-ready, with design provisions for methanol and ammonia fuel conversion and CO2 capture technology, backed by AiP approval from the Classification Society.
