IFCHOR and Galbraiths ink merger deal

The signing of the agreement on the merger between shipbrokers IFCHOR and Galbraiths has been completed.

The new group will consist of 21 offices with more than 300 employees and the full consolidation will be completed within the first quarter of 2023, while the new company is expected to have a brand new logo.

Merged broking house stated, “Joining forces is driven by an opportunity to add more value to our clients through a wider network, better research and greater digitalisation to meet the challenges of a fast-evolving shipping industry.”

IFCHOR and Galbraiths are not the only brokerages that have gone through mergers. In fact, among a host of other deals, Maersk Broker and Lightship Chartering join forces, ICAP Shipping and Howe Robinson come together, Clarksons buys RS Platou, Simpson Spence Young acquires Anchor Shipbroking and Braemar and ACM Shipping link up.
