International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) has taken control of operations at the Batu Ampar Container Terminal in Batam through a 30-year concession.
The deal is managed under PT Batu Ampar Container Terminal, a joint venture between ICTSI (75%) and state-owned PT Interport Sarana Infrastruktur (25%).
The facility has a quay line stretching 1,032 meters. It was recently upgraded with four new ship-to-shore gantry cranes from ZPMC, adding to the terminal’s existing crane.
In 2024, Batu Ampar handled 673,400 TEU. With the new concession and equipment in place, ICTSI is expected to further boost the port’s efficiency and capacity.
