IAPH appoints new legal counsellor

International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) announced the appointment of Vineta Rudzīte as the new legal counsellor for the global trade association.

Vineta Rudzīte currently serves as the legal and administrative assistant to Ansis Zeltiņš, CEO of The Freeport of Riga Authority.

In her new IAPH role, she succeeds her former colleague, Mārtiņš Ziemanis, who has held the legal counsellor position since May 2019. Mārtiņš Ziemanis has now taken on the position of managing director at Stena Line Ports Ventspils AS.

With extensive experience in the transport industry, Rudzīte has spent nine years at the State Joint Stock Company Latvian Railways, where she served as deputy director of the legal department.

Her legal expertise also includes positions at Lattelecom and the Latvian Shipping Company and administrative experience at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia. Since joining the Freeport of Riga Authority in 2021, she has provided legal and administrative support to the CEO, overseeing risk management and ensuring the implementation of ISO standards.
