Hong Kong container terminals’ study

Container terminals in Hong Kong should share facilities and integrate operations to increase their efficiency and competitiveness, according to a study conducted by the Hang Seng Management College.

It looked at the port terminal operations at Kwai Tsing Container Terminals and ran a simulation model on the level of inter-terminal transfer, estimating that as much as 49 percent of costs could be reduced every year with collaborations.
