HMM has announced a series of upgrades to its Transpacific East Coast services EC1, EC2 and EC3, including a new direct call from Cai Mep to the U.S. East Coast on the EC2 loop. The carrier said the enhancements will strengthen network coverage between Southeast Asia and the U.S. East Coast, improve transit times and provide customers with a broader range of routing options.
EC2 Service Updates
The EC2 service will undergo the most significant changes. Eastbound, HMM will maintain the Panama routing while adding Cai Mep and removing Xiamen. Westbound, the service will switch to the Cape of Good Hope (CoGH) routing and add Halifax and Singapore, while Manzanillo and Pusan will be removed. HMM noted that Manzanillo exports and Pusan imports can be shifted to EC1 as an alternative.
