HMM not at fault for containers lost from ONE Apus

The US courts have cleared HMM of any liability in relation to the loss of 1,800 containers from the ship ONE Apus in stormy weather in November 2020.



On 30 November 2020, while sailing from China’s Yantian port to Long Beach, stormy weather caused a massive stack collapse on the 2019-built 14,000 TEU ONE Apus approximately 1,600 nautical miles northwest of Hawaii in the Pacific Ocean.
