HMM certified for occupational safety and health management

HMM acquired ISO 45001, an internationally recognised certification in the field of safety and health management, from the Korean Registry (KR).

It should be noted that ISO 45001 is the first international standard for safety and health management systems, established in 2018 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

HMM has formed a special team since the beginning of the year for the implementation of safety and health management policies and the creation of the relevant systems. In addition, the company has developed safety and health management manuals and carried out an occupational risk assessment.

To get the certification, HMM had to train corporate safety managers and perform internal audits and monitoring.

“The achievement of the ISO 45001 certification is a significant milestone on the pathway to sustainable growth, while at the same time fulfilling a social responsibility,” said chief safety and health officer Kim Gyou-bong.

“We will be committed to enhancing a safe and healthy workplace culture to maintain organizational excellence,” he added.
