HMM increases container rates from India to US and Canada

HMM has announced a new general rate increase (GRI) from India to the United States and Canada.

The South Korean ocean carrier has decided to increase box rates from 1 July, as follows:

  • US$900 per TEU
  • US$1,000 per FEU
  • US$1,125 per high cube container
  • US$1,266 per 45-foot container

“Effective from 1 July 2023, a General Rate Increase (GRI) will be applied to all tariff, or service contract cargo movements to which the rules in this tariff are applicable,” said HMM in a statement.
