According to the statement, HMM’s dedication to sustainability is further evidenced by the introduction of initiatives such as the Supply Chain Carbon Calculator and proactive measures to incorporate marine biofuels into its operations.

Established in 2016, the Green Shipping Summit aims to accelerate the decarbonization of the maritime industry and foster a collaborative approach to sustainability within the shipping sector.

“We have strived to find a way to go green and have made meaningful progress toward a net-zero future. As part of our efforts, we have ordered new ships powered by green fuels and are exploring various alternative energy sources. We will continue to be more transparent and accountable for climate issues,” stated an HMM official.
