HMM and Ocean Network Express (ONE) are expanding their joint Far East–Mexico service to include ports on the West Coast of South America, strengthening connectivity between Asia and Latin America.
The service, previously operated under the FLX/AX4 configuration linking the Far East with Mexico, will now extend further south with the addition of calls at Callao in Peru and a port in Ecuador, likely Guayaquil.
As part of the network adjustment, additional calls will also be introduced at Qingdao in China and Ensenada in Mexico.
HMM will also rename the service as the New West Latin Service (NW4) to reflect the broader geographic coverage and revised operational structure.
Under the updated rotation, the service will call at Shanghai, Ningbo, Qingdao, Busan, Ensenada, Lazaro Cardenas, Manzanillo (Mexico), Callao, Ecuador and return to Shanghai.
The extension of the service is expected to improve direct connections between Asia and the West Coast of South America while strengthening trade links across the Pacific.
