
HJ Shipbuilding & Construction (HJSC) has appointed Song Kyung-han as CEO of its construction division at its annual general meeting on March 27.
The company selected Song for his expertise in strategy and organizational management. He previously served as CEO of DONGBU Engineering and has extensive experience in HR, procurement, and outsourcing.
HJSC aims to strengthen operational efficiency following a recent earnings recovery. The construction division reported stable annual sales of around KRW 1 trillion and operating profit of KRW 11.3 billion. It also holds an order backlog of about KRW 8 trillion, supported by major infrastructure projects.
Song said he will focus on building a resilient and sustainable business. He plans to emphasize safety and disciplined, profit-driven management.
HJSC reported total revenue of KRW 1.9997 trillion, operating profit of KRW 67 billion, and net profit of KRW 51.4 billion last year. For 2026, the company targets KRW 4.15 trillion in new orders and KRW 2.65 trillion in revenue, with a focus on efficiency and sustainable growth across both construction and shipbuilding.
