In December, HHLA Project Logistics completed another major transport of wind turbine components from the Black Sea to the Caspian Sea, supporting the growth of renewable energy near Baku, Azerbaijan.
The oversized cargo originated in China and arrived at the Turkish port of Hopa before moving inland through Georgia. HHLA Project Logistics managed the full operation, including route planning, permits, and coordination with local authorities.
The shipment included heavy wind turbine tower sections up to 25 meters long, 4.5 meters wide, and weighing as much as 185 tons, requiring transport along narrow mountain roads.
HHLA Project Logistics says the project highlights its heavy-lift expertise while contributing to sustainable energy development in the region.
