Hellmann joins forces with Hamburg’s digital hub as corporate partner

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, a global family-owned company, has been actively collaborating with various start-ups for years to drive the digital transformation of the industry.

Since February, Hellmann has partnered with the Digital Hub Logistics in Hamburg (DHLH), contributing its expertise to anchor innovations sustainably within the structures of a global medium-sized company.

DHLH, an innovation space, is part of the German network “Digital Hub Initiative” initiated by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection and the Digital Association Bitkom.

Presently, the initiative operates twelve thematic locations across Germany, facilitating exchange between companies, investors, start-ups, and the scientific community to advance sustainable innovations.

“This partnership provides Hellmann with another opportunity to enhance its digital competence and strengthen its presence in the market. Simultaneously, Hellmann, as a global logistics service provider, contributes its extensive industry know-how, playing a crucial role in the agile structures of the hub, which thrive on the innovative power of all partners and start-ups,” stated Erik Petruschke, managing director of Digital Hub Logistics Hamburg.

With Hellmann’s inclusion, the Digital Hub Logistics in Hamburg now boasts 25 corporate partners and approximately 100 start-ups. Together, they are pioneering groundbreaking ideas and developing smart innovations for the future logistics and supply chain, ensuring their readiness for the market.

“The Digital Hub Logistics in Hamburg serves as an inspiring space for Hellmann, allowing us to share and evolve our approaches and experiences as a global logistics provider alongside diverse partners from the corporate and startup world,” added Stefan Borggreve, chief Digital Officer and newly appointed member of the Management Board of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
