Hapag-Lloyd unveils surcharges from India & Pakistan

Hapag-Lloyd has announced that effective as of 14 March 2020 (Gate In date) it will apply a peak season surcharge (PSS) from Mundra/ Nhava Sheva to Jeddah & Aqaba will be increased, as follows:

Mundra/Nhava Sheva (India) to Jeddah:

  • US$400 per 20′ STD Container

Mundra/Nhava Sheva (India) to Aqaba:

  • US$400 per 20′ STD Container

Hapag-Lloyd has also said that effective as of 12 March 2020, it will apply a PSS for reefer cargo to Jeddah and Aqaba as below:

Karachi (Pakistan) to Jeddah as follows:

  • US$300 per 20′ Container
  • US$300 per 40′ Container

Karachi (Pakistan) to Aqaba as follows:

  • US$600 per 20′ Container
  • US$600 per 40′ Container

Furthermore, effective from 12 March 2020, the German shipping company will apply a PSS for all dry cargo as seen below:

Karachi (Pakistan) to Jeddah as follows:

  • US$150 per 20′ Container
  • US$150 per 40′ Container

Karachi (Pakistan) to Aqaba as follows:

  • US$150 per 20′ Container
  • US$150 per 40′ Container

In addition, Hapag-Lloyd will apply a PSS for all dry cargo, effective as of 21 March 2020, as below:

Karachi (Pakistan) to Arabian Gulf as follows:

  • US$50 per 20′ Container
  • US$100 per 40′ Container
