Hapag-Lloyd to launch Chile-Asia service

Hapag-Lloyd has announced that during the current quarter, it will implement its Asia Express Service in order to reduce the transit time from Valparaiso to Hong Kong during the Chilean Fruit Season.

[s2If is_user_logged_in()]The Asia Express Service is expected to start in the third week of the year, which begins on 18 January, with the 9,300TEU container ship, Corcovado, with an estimated time of departure on 20 January.

The service will be extended until the 13th week of 2021, which begins on 29 March, with the following sequence of voyages:

Seasonal Express Service connects Valparaiso and Hong Kong fast, with 22 days transit time, according to the German carrier, while it also provides connection to Shanghai via Hong Kong in 27 days and a network of feeders that “ensures flexible and express delivery of cargo to other destinations in Asia via Hong Kong.”[/s2If]
