Hapag-Lloyd applies new surcharge from China to West Africa

Hapag-Lloyd has announced a new Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan to West Africa.

The surcharge of US$800 per TEU will be applicable for all cargo loaded on June 14, 2025 (on board date), until further notice.

The German carrier noted that the West Africa area covers the following ports:



Nouakchott (Mauritania), Dakar (Senegal), Banjul (Gambia), Conakry (Guinea), Freetown (Sierra Leone), Monrovia (Liberia), Abidjan (Ivory Coast), Tema (Ghana), Lome (Togo), Cotonou (Benin), Apapa, Tincan Island, Onne (Nigeria), Kribi, Douala (Cameroon), Libreville, Port Gentil (Gabon), Bata, Malabo (Equatorial Guinea), Pointe Noire (Congo Brazzaville), Matadi, Boma (DR Congo), Luanda, Lobito, Namibe, Cabinda, Soyo (Angola) and Walvis Bay (Namibia)
