Hapag-Lloyd resumes service to Myanmar

Hapag-Lloyd will resume its service to Myanmar via Singapore from February 2020. The German shipping company had announced the suspension of the specific service “due to draft limitations and the dwell time of several weeks in Singapore”, two months ago (December 2019)

Hapag-Lloyd says that in order to avoid further backlogs in Singapore, the weight limitations to Myanmar will be restricted as follows:

  • Heavy 20ft. Container with more than 20 tons each are limited to one Bill of Lading per customer.
