Hapag-Lloyd launches new service between US and Mediterranean

Hapag-Lloyd has announced a new connection between the East Coast of North America and Turkey.

Effective from mid-May 2022, the German carrier’s new Turkey East Coast Express (TEX) service will offer weekly calls at major ports in Turkey and the US East Coast.

The new product will directly link Mersin, Izmit and Aliaga in Turkey with New York, Norfolk and Savannah in the United States, while Tangier will offer westbound and eastbound calls.

The weekly rotation of the TEX service will have the following structure: Mersin – Izmit – Aliaga – Tangier – New York – Norfolk – Savannah – Tangier – Mersin
