Hapag-Lloyd introduces US$1,000 GRI in America

German ocean carrier Hapag-Lloyd announced a General Rate Increase (GRI) from the East Coast of South America to North and Central America, and the Caribbean.

This rate increase will apply to all containers from 10 December and will be valid until further notice.

The GRI of US$1,000 per container will be implemented on shipments from Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay to the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.
