Hapag-Lloyd will close its standalone Poland Express (PEX) service and revise the deployment of other Baltic services, according to Dynaliners.
The Poland Express currently links Klaipeda and Gdynia with Wilhelmshaven and Hamburg. With its closure, Hapag-Lloyd will instead adjust the rotations of the standalone Baltic Express (BAX) and the Poland Germany Shuttle (PGS).
The Baltic Express (BAX) will operate on a revised rotation connecting Wilhelmshaven, Hamburg, Klaipeda, Riga, Rauma and Helsinki, before returning to Wilhelmshaven.
The Poland Germany Shuttle (PGS), which forms part of the Gemini Cooperation portfolio operated in partnership with Maersk, will be revised to operate between Hamburg, Wilhelmshaven and Gdynia, before returning to Hamburg.
The changes reflect a restructuring of Hapag-Lloyd’s Baltic network, with services consolidated to improve operational efficiency and connectivity across Northern Europe.
