Hapag-Lloyd appoints new senior managing director for Middle East

From 1 January 2024, Lars Sorensen will become Hapag-Lloyd’s senior managing director of Region Middle East, based in Dubai, UAE.

Sorensen will be succeeding Dheeraj Bhatia, who will become a new member of the Hapag-Lloyd executive board and CEO of the new Rotterdam-based Hapag-Lloyd Terminal Holding from 1 January.

Sorensen joined the German shipping company five years ago and led Area India as managing director.
