Hapag-Lloyd applies peak season surcharge from Latin America to Europe

German container carrier Hapag-Lloyd has announced a new Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) from the West Coast of Latin America, Central America & the Caribbean to North Europe and the Mediterranean.

The surcharge of US$400 per container will be applicable to all sailings starting on 11 November and will be valid until further notice. The implementation date for Colombia, Ecuador, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands will be 29 November, according to the company’s announcement.
