Hapag-Lloyd applies new surcharge in Gambia

German ocean carrier Hapag-Lloyd has announced a new peak season surcharge (PSS) from Europe, Middle East & Indian Subcontinent, and North & Latin America to Gambia’s port of Banjul.

A surcharge of US$825/€750 per container will be implemented for all equipment types. This surcharge will take effect on November 15 for ports in Northern Europe, Southern Europe, the Middle East, and the Indian Subcontinent. For North and Latin America, the surcharge will become effective on December 1.
