Hapag-Lloyd has announced a General Rate Increase (GRI) for shipments from the East Coast of South America to the West Coast of South America.
The increase will apply to all cargo types, including dry, reefer and special containers, and will be set at USD 200 per container.
The GRI will take effect from 1 May 2026 and will remain valid until further notice.
Hapag-Lloyd said the adjustment reflects current market conditions and applies to all containerized shipments on the specified trade lane.
