
Hapag-Lloyd and MSC have eliminated Itapoa from their joint ECX/NWC to SAEC string 1 service rotation.
The port will now be served via transshipment operations, with Hapag-Lloyd utilizing Rio de Janeiro as the hub to connect with the Mediterranean-based MSE/West Med to SAEC service operated by the same partnership.
The current itineraries for these interconnected services are:
ECX/NWC to SAEC string 1 – Rotterdam, London (Gateway), Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Antwerp, Le Havre, Sines, Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio Grande, Itajai (Navegantes), Paranagua, Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Pecem, Tangier, returning to Rotterdam
MSE/West Med to SAEC – Valencia, Barcelona, Leghorn, Genoa, Valencia, Suape, Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Paranagua, Itapoa, Navegantes, Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Las Palmas, Malaga (MSC exclusively), returning to Valencia.
