Two of the largest shipping lines in the world have announced new rates to Latin America destinations from 1 July.
First of all, the French shipping group CMA CGM will apply the following new freight all kinds (FAK) rates from North Europe and the Mediterranean to Latin America ports:

In addition, the German container carrier Hapag-Lloyd has announced a the followign fresh general rate increase (GRI) with effect from 1 July for all dry and reefer cargo from Caribbean and Central America to Latin America destinations (Mexico, Caribbean, Central America, South America West Coast and East Coast):
- US$50 per container 20’ (dry/reefer)
- US$100 per container 40’ (dry/reefer)
Furthermore, the Hamburg-based liner company will implement increased ocean tariff rates from European ports to Latin America, excluding Mexico, for all cargoes for 20’ and 40’ general purpose, including high cube containers, as well as 20’ and 40’ reefer boxes.
