Hapag-Lloyd has informed customers that commercial cargo transit operations at the Pakistan–Afghanistan border are currently suspended due to the prevailing geopolitical situation between the two countries.
As a result, all containers intended for transit between Pakistan and Afghanistan are being held at port and border locations while awaiting further instructions from the relevant government authorities.
Hapag-Lloyd said the suspension is beyond its control and will remain in effect until official clearance is granted by the authorities. The carrier added that it is closely monitoring developments and will provide further updates as soon as more information becomes available.
Customers have been thanked for their understanding and patience during the period of disruption.
