Updated: Hapag-Lloyd adds void sailings due to pandemic crisis

Shipping lines are continuing their attempts to drive up rates on the back of aggressive capacity management and falling demand.

In the latest move the Coronavirus situation has seen Hapag-Lloyd implement additional blank sailings over the next few months.

South America EC – Caribbean Service (SCS)

Vessel: Monte Aconcagua Voy. 023SB / 027NB

For export cargo, as alternative the German company offers next vessel MSC Methoni 024SB / 028NB.

Asia – South America West Coast Service (JCS)

CMA CGM COCHIN, DP 244909 voyage 0PP64W1MA, is going to arrive at Singapore on 6 June instead of 27 May as per schedule below:

Conosur Service (CON)

Hapag-Lloyd has cancelled the blank sailing of the vessel UTE 22 westbound announced on 12 May. The German shipping line decided that the vessel will perform its usual complete rotation in the Conosur service.
