Hanseatic Global Terminals has officially launched Hanseatic Global Terminals Le Havre, marking a new phase in the development of the French terminal following its acquisition in March 2025.

In March 2025, Hanseatic Global Terminals acquired a 60% majority stake in the CNMP LH terminal in Le Havre, with the remaining 40% held by Seafrigo. Since the acquisition, significant investments have been made at the site, including the purchase of 14 Kalmar hybrid straddle carriers, with delivery expected in early 2026. Benoit Klein has also been appointed Managing Director of Hanseatic Global Terminals Le Havre.

The rebranding introduces a new name and visual identity across terminal facilities, workwear, offices and digital platforms, including websites and social media channels. The entity is now officially registered as Hanseatic Global Terminals Le Havre. In parallel, Hanseatic Global Terminals is standardising and strengthening operational processes to ensure consistent, high-quality service for customers and partners worldwide.

Le Havre is ranked among Europe’s ten largest ports and is France’s leading maritime gateway, handling around 3 million TEU annually. The port offers strong hinterland connections to Paris, with container volumes expected to grow further, particularly in the reefer segment.

“This milestone marks a significant step in our Strategy 2030 to grow our terminal portfolio and reflects our commitment to building a unified, world-class terminal network that delivers consistent, high-quality service globally,” said Dheeraj Bhatia, Chief Executive Officer of Hanseatic Global Terminals. “The rebranding of Hanseatic Global Terminals Le Havre underlines our dedication to reliability, sustainability and innovation.”

Eric Barbé, President of the Seafrigo Group, said the new identity represents a major turning point, combining Seafrigo’s expertise in temperature-controlled food logistics with Hanseatic Global Terminals’ global terminal vision, benefiting customers, employees and the development of the port of Le Havre.

Benoit Klein, Managing Director of Hanseatic Global Terminals Le Havre, added that since joining the group, the focus has been on investing in people, technology and infrastructure. He noted that the brand transition opens a new chapter for the terminal while maintaining the same trusted service and unlocking further growth opportunities.

Established in 2023, Hanseatic Global Terminals operates as an independent entity within the Hapag-Lloyd group, focusing on terminals and infrastructure. The company aims to expand its global network to around 30 terminals by 2030.
