Vietnam’s Hai An Transport is making a calculated bet that bigger isn’t always better in container shipping. The Hanoi-based carrier has ordered up to four 7,100 TEU vessels from China’s Dalian Shipbuilding Industry a significant leap from its previous 1,800 TEU ships but notably smaller than the mega-vessels dominating global trade routes.
