GXO Logistics has announced the formation of a new Defense Advisory Board as it expands its advanced logistics services for the aerospace and defense sectors. The board will provide strategic guidance and industry insights to support GXO’s growth in the segment.
GXO said the initiative reflects strong demand from aerospace and defense customers for reliable, technology-driven logistics solutions. The company aims to strengthen its position by leveraging its scale, digital capabilities, and operational expertise.
The newly appointed board brings together senior leaders with military, government, and commercial experience. Members include Rob Dickerson, a former US Army Colonel and aviation business development leader at Beta Technologies; Kurt Gutierrez, managing partner and former US Army officer with extensive executive experience; Chad Hennings, former US Air Force officer and entrepreneur; and Rear Admiral Jonathan Yuen, former Chief of the US Navy Supply Corps and senior advisor at McKinsey & Company.
GXO has more than two decades of experience delivering mission-critical logistics services for aerospace, government, and defense customers. The company supports the full product lifecycle, including OEMs, suppliers, MRO providers, and global air operations.
The group has recently secured new agreements with BAE Systems, Pratt & Whitney, and Boeing. Its multi-user facility in Dormagen, Germany, has also received EN 9120 aerospace quality certification. Following the acquisition of Wincanton, GXO expects to unlock further growth opportunities across Europe.
GXO said the Defense Advisory Board will play a key role in shaping its long-term strategy and strengthening its capabilities in one of its fastest-growing sectors.
