GXO and Hasbro inaugurate distribution centre in Georgia

GXO Logistics and Hasbro have opened a new flagship distribution centre in Georgia, marking a significant development.

GXO Logistics and Hasbro have formally opened a new flagship distribution centre in Midway, Georgia, marking a significant development in a partnership spanning several decades.

The 600,000 square foot facility in Liberty County is designed to expand Hasbro’s omni-channel distribution capabilities and improve supply chain efficiency across North America.

The centre supports both Hasbro’s brick-and-mortar retail partners and Hasbro Pulse, the company’s direct-to-consumer platform. It is expected to generate up to 70 permanent full-time positions, with seasonal employment rising to as many as 125 roles during peak holiday periods.

Operations at the facility are driven by GXO IQ, the company’s AI-powered, cloud-native warehouse operating system. The platform optimises pick paths, anticipates replenishment requirements and enables more intelligent, data-driven warehouse management throughout the fulfilment process.

Michael Jacobs, President of Americas and Asia Pacific at GXO, described the facility as a reflection of the company’s operational expertise and its commitment to supporting Hasbro’s growth across retail and direct-to-consumer channels.

Stephanie Beal, Chief Supply Chain Officer at Hasbro, highlighted improvements in speed, accuracy and cost efficiency as the primary operational benefits the new centre delivers across the distribution network.
