Guillaume Sauzedde appointed Regional Managing Director for Europe at Maersk

With the start of the new year, Guillaume Sauzedde has assumed the role of Regional Managing Director for Europe at Maersk, taking responsibility for the company’s largest regional market.

Sauzedde, a French national with more than 25 years of experience in the logistics industry, is well known to both employees and customers across the region. He joined Maersk in 2024 as Head of Logistics & Services for the Europe Region, following a series of senior leadership roles at CEVA Logistics and Kühne + Nagel.

His previous positions include Managing Director for Central and Eastern Europe and Regional Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa at CEVA Logistics, as well as Country Managing Director for Poland and Senior Vice President for Contract Logistics in Central and Eastern Europe at Kühne + Nagel.

“I am looking forward to continuing serving our customers together with the great Maersk teams I got to know over the past 16 months with the company,” said Guillaume Sauzedde, Regional Managing Director for Europe, Maersk.

“Over the past years, Maersk has established itself with an extensive logistics footprint across Europe including ownership and control of decisive assets and expertise across all parts of the supply chain. It’s exciting to have such a powerful and differentiating offering for our customers in these disruptive times and to deliver resilient, value adding end-to-end solutions to them.”

Sauzedde succeeds Aymeric Chandavoine, the former head of the Europe Region, who left Maersk at the end of the year to take on a new role outside the industry.

Based in Warsaw, Sauzedde will operate from Maersk’s main office in the Polish capital while commuting regularly to the company’s headquarters in Copenhagen.
