Singapore-registered newcomer Greta Shipping has continued to expand its network with the launch of a new Oman–Djibouti RS1 shuttle service.
According to DynaLiners, the RS1 service operates on a weekly basis between Salalah, Oman, and Djibouti. Despite its name, the service does not enter the Red Sea basin, instead focusing on shuttle connectivity between the Arabian Sea and the Horn of Africa.
The service is initially operated with a vessel of around 1,000 TEU, with plans to upgrade capacity to approximately 1,700 TEU at a later stage, reflecting expected demand growth on the route.
The launch of the RS1 shuttle marks another step in Greta Shipping’s gradual network build-out, strengthening regional connectivity between Oman and East Africa.
