Global Ship Lease to utilize Ankeri’s software platform

London-headquartered container vessel owner Global Ship Lease (GSL) has announced a partnership with digital solution provider Ankeri Solutions.

GSL aims to utilize Ankeri’s software platform to digitalize, streamline, and automate its maritime workflows, enhancing vessel data-sharing capabilities with liner operators.

Thomas Lister, CEO of Global Ship Lease, stated, “Decarbonization and digitization are two big, overlapping challenges and opportunities facing our industry. We are impressed with Ankeri’s holistic approach to data consolidation, standardization, and integration across technical, commercial, and vessel performance functions. We believe that having timely, accessible, and actionable data will be increasingly critical to optimizing the energy efficiency of our fleet and meeting the needs of our customers, the liner operators.”

Commenting on the new partnership, Kristinn Aspelund, CEO of Ankeri Solutions, said, “Welcoming Global Ship Lease to Ankeri is a testament to our commitment to creating value for non-operating vessel owners. This partnership underscores the importance of a state-of-the-art data-sharing technology stack and collaborative digital workflows. We see that as essential for fostering new and more efficient ways of working within the maritime industry.”
