Global Ports appoints new general manager for MD and YLP terminals

Global Ports Investments PLC is going under management changes as Vadim Shpityak has been appointed the General Manager of the company’s joint ventures Moby Dik (MD) and Yanino Logistic Park (YLP) terminals.

Shpityak has more than 17 years of experience in the industry, most recently, as Head of Technical Assets Maintenance Department and Group Chief Engineer of Global Ports Management.

Prior to this, he held the positions of Technical Director at Petrolesport and Chief Engineer at First Container Terminal. His career started in 2003 when he held Chief Engineer positions at Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port Group’s terminals, Novoroslesexport and Terminal Mega.

Moreover, the new General Manager of the two Russian terminals holds degrees from Novorossiysk Industrial College and from the Rostov State University of Civil Engineering.

Regarding the former General Manager of the container terminal MD in the St. Petersburg port complex and the newly built multifunctional logistics facility YLP in Northwest Russia, Ivan Radchenko, has stepped down from his position to pursue other opportunities outside the Group, according to a statement.

Albert Likholet, Chief Executive Officer of Global Ports Management, commented on behalf of the Group, “I would like to express sincere gratitude to Ivan Radchenko for his substantial contribution to the development of Moby Dik and Yanino Logistic Park.”

“Under his reliable leadership, the terminals have undergone significant and strategically important transformations and overcome the challenges faced in recent years,” commented Likholet, who also welcomed Vadim Shpityak, claiming that as he has extensive experience both in the port industry and across the Global Ports’ operations, “both terminals will multiply their successes under his stewardship.”
