Gibert partners with ID Logistics to modernize supply chain

ID Logistics has partnered with Gibert to transform the retailer’s logistics operations, supporting growth, e-commerce, and improved service quality.

The agreement includes management of Gibert’s historic Vitry-sur-Seine site since July 2025 and a full transfer to a new 6,000 m² facility in Le Plessis-Pâté in April 2026. The site, part of a 48,000 m² multi-client hub, will handle over 12 million items annually, including books, vinyl, CDs, and stationery.

Automation technologies, such as robotic sorters, micro sorters, and palletizing lines, combined with ID Logistics’ Infolog WMS, will boost capacity, traceability, and efficiency, especially during peak periods.

The transition involves 40 existing employees and is expected to grow to over 100 staff, while the site meets BREEAM Very Good environmental standards, featuring energy-efficient systems and renewable energy solutions.

The new hub also supports Gibert’s expansion in e-commerce and second-hand markets, allowing integrated management of all product flows and enhancing service across its store network.

Eric Hémar, CEO of ID Logistics, said the project provides Gibert with a scalable, high-performance logistics platform to support its growth and modernization goals.
