GEODIS, a global logistics provider, has celebrated the 500th flight on its dedicated freighter route from Asia to Guadalajara, Mexico. Operated through a long-term partnership with Atlas Air, the service delivers consistent, reliable, and secure cargo solutions for customers across the region.
Launched in 2019, the service operates two weekly flights from Shanghai and Hong Kong directly to Guadalajara. Despite challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic and global supply chain disruptions, GEODIS has maintained the route, supporting reduced lead times and end-to-end reliability for its customers.
“Reaching 500 flights is an incredible milestone and demonstrates our commitment to customers in Mexico and Latin America,” said Miguel Muñoz, Managing Director of GEODIS Mexico. “This achievement reflects the close collaboration between our teams in Mexico, Asia, Paris, and the U.S. We look forward to reaching 1,000 flights and continuing to support our customers’ growth.”
The dedicated freighter service integrates air and ground logistics, ensuring seamless end-to-end connectivity. Shipments landing in Guadalajara can clear customs locally or move bonded to final destinations, including Mexico City and Monterrey, maintaining speed and reliability throughout the supply chain.
The 500th flight was celebrated at Guadalajara airport with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the unveiling of a commemorative plaque, marking the milestone in GEODIS’ long-term strategy to strengthen logistics links between Asia and South America.
