GEODIS appoints new Group General Counsel

Global transport and logistics provider GEODIS has appointed Jean-Benoît Devauges as Group General Counsel.

In his new role, Devauges will serve on the Group’s Management Board, chaired by Chief Executive Officer GEODIS Marie-Christine Lombard. Additionally, he will join the company’s Executive Board alongside CEO Marie-Christine Lombard and CFO David-Olivier Tarac.

Jean-Benoît Devauges began his career at the international arbitration firm Lazareff & Associés before joining Renault’s legal department in 2000 as a corporate lawyer. In 2006, he transitioned to Nissan Motor Company’s global legal team in Tokyo, Japan, and later moved to the United States in 2008, where he joined Nissan North America’s legal department in Nashville, Tennessee.

In 2011, he was appointed Deputy Group General Counsel at Renault, overseeing partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions. He was promoted to General Counsel in 2017 and became Secretary to the Board of Directors in 2019. Since 2023, he has served as General Counsel and Head of Legal Affairs, Ethics, and Corporate Governance at MEDEF, the French business confederation.

Jean-Benoît Devauges holds postgraduate degrees in international business law from the University of Paris I and in EU law from the University of Paris II. He is also admitted to practice in France.
