GEODIS appoints new Americas CEO

GEODIS, a global leader in transport and logistics, has announced the appointment of Laura Ritchey as its new President and CEO for the Americas region. In her new role, Ritchey will also join the GEODIS Group Executive Board, led by CEO Marie-Christine Lombard.

As head of the Americas division, Ritchey takes the reins of a major operational footprint that spans North and South America, overseeing GEODIS’ activities in contract logistics, freight forwarding, and transportation.

She now leads a workforce of nearly 20,000 employees across eight countries, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Argentina, and Brazil.

“With the U.S. being one of the top markets in our global network, Laura has the robust industry and leadership experience needed to continue strengthening GEODIS’ position in this critical region”, said Marie-Christine Lombard.

Ritchey joins GEODIS with more than three decades of professional experience, including over 15 years in supply chain and logistics. She most recently served as CEO of Radial, Inc., where she led the organization through a period of growth and increased profitability. Her career has also included key roles at L Brands, FullBeauty Brands, and Centric Brands.

Beyond her professional achievements, Ritchey remains active in the nonprofit and academic communities. She holds a bachelor’s degree, MBA, and J.D. from Ohio State, and is both a certified public accountant and a licensed attorney in Ohio.

Ritchey steps into the role following the retirement of Mike Honious, a longtime GEODIS executive who spent two decades with company and over 30 years in the industry.
