French President Emmanuel Macron visits CMA CGM head offices

The President of France, Emmanuel Macron visited the headquarters of CMA CGM in Marseille and was greeted by the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Rodolphe Saadé, on 2 September.

This is the first visit to the French carrier’s tower by a sitting French President and comprises an opportunity to reiterate the Group’s involvement in numerous solidarity actions in France and around the world, according to CMA CGM.

The Marseille-based shipping company stated, “this is a great honour and a source of pride for all our staff members around the world as well as a recognition of the strategic role that CMA CGM Group plays in world trade.”

CMA CGM added, “We are committed to responsible transport that is more respectful of the planet. We share this commitment with the French President, in the run-up to the opening of the World Conservation Congress, an event we are pleased to partner.”
