Freightos has announced the appointment of Pablo Pinillos as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors.
The appointment follows a search process that evaluated both internal and external candidates, concluding with a unanimous decision by the Board in favour of Pinillos.
Pinillos joined Freightos as Chief Financial Officer in March 2025 and has served as Interim CEO since January 2026.
His transition to the permanent role reflects the Board’s assessment of his performance across both positions and his demonstrated understanding of the company’s strategic and operational priorities.
Udo Lange, Chairman of the Board, cited Pinillos’s experience in high-growth technology environments and his leadership track record within Freightos as the primary factors underpinning the Board’s confidence in his appointment.
Lange framed the decision as oriented toward guiding the company through its next phase of profitable growth and advancing its mission to digitalise global freight.
In his statement, Pinillos outlined a near-term agenda centred on disciplined execution, with a specific commitment to reaching financial breakeven in the fourth quarter of 2026.
His strategic priorities include expanding the company’s solutions business, leading its entry into ocean freight and procurement management, and deepening customer engagement to drive durable transaction growth across the platform.
With Pinillos moving into the CEO role, Freightos has initiated a search for a new Chief Financial Officer.
